New parents Elton John & David Furnish attended the birth of their other new “baby” on Sunday – Gnomeo & Juliet the new animated comedy from Disney’s Touchstone Pictures. Furnish produced the movie and Elton was executive producer and also created the original music for the film.
Gnomeo & Juliet is loosely based on the classic Shakespeare play and stars the voices of Emily Blunt and James McAvoy as a couple of garden gnomes who are caught up in a feud between neighbors. She’s not going to be featured on the best-dressed list, but you’ve got to love Helena Bonham-Carter’s sense of individuality – if not her sense of style.
The King’s Speech star arrived at the Golden Globe Awards in a multi-colored Vivienne Westwood dress, bird’s-nest hair and different-colored shoes – one red and one green!
Helena doesn’t care what people think of what she wears. “Why does it matter?” She says that there are too many awards shows and feels that they’ve been hijacked by the fashion industry.
But I’m sure there’s one award she’d love to take home – the Academy Award. Nominations are announced next week and The King’s Speech is expected to be a hot contender for Best Picture.

Here are some actors that are really hot! The solid bronze Actor® statuettes, to be awarded at the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on January 30th, were cast at the American Fine Arts Foundry in Burbank, California.
The Actors are cast using the lost wax process and then the green-black patina finish is individually applied by hand. Each statuette weighs 12 pounds and stands 16 inches tall. The Actor was sculpted by Edward Saenz and designed by Jim Helmann and Jim Barrett.

Promoting yet another product, Katie Price once again brought out the shock tactics for the launch of her new perfume “Precious Love.”
Wearing a see-through sequined body stocking, pink wig and fur-lined sailor’s hat the 32 year-old entertainer & businesswoman stretched out on a faux-fur rug at a photo-call in London to promote the perfume, which she says is dedicated to her children – Harvey, Junior and Princess.

Superstars Cher and Christina Aguilera looked great at the Los Angeles premiere of their movie “Burlesque.”
Christina, who will be 30 in December, wore a bright turquoise green strapless Elie Saab gown that was very much old Hollywood. While 64 year-old Cher chose a sparkling black mini with lace sleeves.
In the movie, Christina plays Ali – a small-town girl with a big voice who follows her dream to L.A. After stumbling upon The Burlesque Lounge, a majestic but ailing theatre that is home to an inspired musical revue, Ali lands a job as a cocktail waitress from Tess (Cher), the club’s proprietor and headliner. Burlesque’s outrageous costumes and bold choreography enrapture the young ingenue, who vows to perform there one day.
Of course, she eventually makes her way from the bar to the stage and her spectacular voice restores The Burlesque Lounge to it’s former glory. And that’s Hollywood!
